Manchester United vs Schalke 04 Match Preview
Manchester United will be defending a 2-0 aggregate lead when they play host to Schalke 04 in the UEFA Champions League semi-final second leg on Wednesday.
Ryan Giggs and Wayne Rooney scored for United during the first leg in Germany, and the 2-0 deficit means Schalke have huge task on their hands to advance after the Old Trafford second leg.

United have a potentially Premier League deciding clash against Chelsea coming up at the weekend and may rest some players in this game. “I will bring Paul Scholes back in, Dimitar Berbatov, Michael Owen, Sir Alex Ferguson told.
Berbatov and Owen are expected to play as a front pair, with England striker Wayne Rooney being rested. Fabio da Silva is sidelined with injury for United, while Edwin van der Sar and Michael Carrick are also likely to sit out.

KEY PLAYERS

Nemanja Vidic (Manchester United) – Sir Alex Ferguson will juggle his lineup, but has vowed to play his more senior defenders as United look to hold onto a 2-0 aggregate lead.

Raul (Schalke 04) – The German club need at least two goals to stay alive in the tie, and the tournaments all-time leading goal scorer will be a key player if they are to achieve that.
